Rate: £28 - £34 per hour
Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Senior Pharmacy Technician (Aseptic) to join our team in Liverpool. This is a temporary placement covering 79 shifts, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will oversee the preparation of aseptic products, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and standards. You will conduct quality control checks on aseptic preparations to ensure safety and efficacy. You will provide leadership and supervision to junior pharmacy technicians and support staff. You will deliver training sessions to staff on aseptic techniques and procedures. You will manage stock levels of aseptic products and materials, ensuring timely ordering and availability. You will maintain accurate records of all aseptic preparations and related activities. You will ensure all activities comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. You will prioritize patient safety in all aspects of aseptic preparation and handling.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience/Knowledge:
o NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or Qualified Pharmacy Technician with relevant certification.
o Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
o Minimum of 2 years' post-registration hospital pharmacy experience.
o Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, specifically in aseptic techniques.
* Skills/Abilities:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
o Good organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
o Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
o Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
