We are working with our client, a global heavy lift and crane hire company, in their search for a logistics planner or hire controller. You will be the point of contact between the field service staff and will be responsible for the daily planning of resources and equipment.
This role is based in Thornaby and offers fantastic benefits, training, and progression on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan resource and equipment and work with abnormal road routes.
2. Review timesheets, work orders, invoices, etc.
3. Coordinate operators and staff, ensuring they have the correct documentation for the site.
4. Comply with health and safety standards.
5. Communicate schedules and changes to teams, ensuring everyone is informed of job-specific details.
6. Assign the appropriate crane and operators to specific jobs, considering load capacities, terrain, and operational requirements.
The Person:
1. Great communication skills.
2. Excellent IT knowledge and able to pick up different systems.
3. Good written language skills.
4. Experience in a planning/hire coordinator role is desirable.
