Stock Management: Sign off on all stock purchase orders and pricing, ensuring full stock availability. Product Enhancement: Identify products and ranges to enhance the company's offerings. Team Collaboration: Work closely with buying, testing, and marketing teams to bring products to market within set timeframes. Quality Control: Schedule and review all new product testing and evaluation with the in-house engineering team. Decision Making: Analyse Quality Control reports, product evaluations, and warranty reports to make informed company decisions. Product Lifecycle Management: Decide on product deletions and manage the flow of new products from import to private label development. Pricing Strategy: Set trade prices for new products based on company margin requirements. Market Analysis: Continuously review the retail market to ensure competitiveness. Logistics Coordination: Select inbound shipping agencies to streamline operations. Skills and Experience Required: Proven Experience: At least 5 years in a management position with a strong track record in procurement. Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive, can-do attitude is essential. Import Expertise: Experience with direct imports of finished consumer products from the Far East is crucial. Financial Acumen: Ability to understand and influence key financial purchasing issues and senior team members. Communication Skills: Excellent, clear, and concise communication skills are a must.
