About the role Play a significant role to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues and others Working safely within the team, aware of hazards within your work area, wider site and operating procedures and preventing incidents from occurring Responsible for the safe movement of spirit in casks within an established set of process procedures, either manually or by using site machinery. Required to support a range of activities including filling, warehousing, disgorging (emptying spirit from casks) and empty cask handling, to ensure targets are met relating to Health and Safety, quality, service and cost. There may be occasions when extended hours working will be required, particularly during peak periods. Both team and lone person working that require effective decision-making and problem-solving skills as well as an ability to use initiative to adapt pre-set work plans. Action must always be taken that ensures full compliance with all warehousing Health & Safety, Customs & Excise and environmental constraints. About you Excellent analytical skills with ability to drive improvements. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to key stakeholders across the site. Ability to organise a variety of tasks and prioritise self and others accordingly. Able to work as individual but also part of team. Have meticulous attention to detail. Good numerical skills Demonstrate a “Can Do” attitude and an ability to challenge appropriately. Experience of working in a team-orientated production environment would be advantageous, although support and development will be provided. Basic PC skills including Microsoft office Excellent organisational and planning skills Is an ambassador for Manufacturing Excellence and continuous improvement.
