We are seeking either an experienced or trainee cutter to join our luxury cashmere manufacturing company, Barrie knitwear. Ideally, we are interested in people with some experience and a background in the textiles industry. However, if you have the desire and commitment to be successful, we will consider training people with limited experience as first and foremost we want to hire people with the right attitude. The successful candidate will become a flexible member of the current cutting team in production. Cutting neck holes, fronts, pockets, shapes in high-quality cashmere knitwear with precision and accuracy Select garments and/or bundles in accordance with instructions Carry out on-going visual inspection of garments and advise manager if problems are identified Working from patterns and specifications to ensure perfect fit Handling fabric with care to maintain quality and minimize waste Collaborating and communicating with different production colleagues to ensure best practice and coordination is consistently applied to uphold luxury standards What will you bring to the role?
