We’re looking for an Associate Director of Marketing for EMEA who will report directly to Pattern’s Global VP of Marketing and Europe MD for the region. You will be responsible for leading the vision, expansion, and success of the Pattern brand internally and externally, and building demand and pipeline for Pattern’s products and services in Europe. Proven quota attainment and demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced, world-class marketing environment are a must. The ideal candidate will be a stone-cold doer with a penchant for tackling meaty projects. Strong marketing operations skills are key—from forecasting to benchmarking to facilitating regular pipeline review calls. We’re in search of a fearless leader, who is unafraid to delve into the technical details of the industry and our offering. This position is responsible for a variety of functions including corporate communications and PR, content strategy, demand generation and digital marketing, and events, while partnering closely with HQ-based teams to maintain strategic alignment and share best practices across regions. A demonstrated track record of building and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced startup environment, preferably within a B2B or ecommerce company, is highly desirable. The role is based in our modern London office in the heart of Soho. It’s a collaborative environment where we work together to get the job done but make sure we have fun whilst we’re doing it. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the EMEA marketing team in delivering pipeline targets and supporting the enterprise sales team in accelerating pipeline through the funnel a Localize the Pattern value proposition including elevator pitches, personas, content hierarchies, etc. as well as key marketing programs Implement a data-driven approach to analysing, automating, and optimising a target list of strategic accounts that predictably drives high conversions and pipeline Lead the strategy and ongoing measurement of full-funnel tracking and reporting for all funnel stages Develop a vision and strategic marketing plan to accelerate Pattern revenue in region via target brands, partnerships, existing Pattern customers and key routes to market Motivate, mentor, and develop the existing team and develop a long-term plan for team structure and growth Create, communicate and implement a partner-first vision—ensuring that your strategy is communicated on a level that allows every employee to feel as if they are part of something bigger than themselves and that their role is strategically important to the organisation Lead your team in annual and quarterly planning, keeping track of budget, and reporting on team performance, with a focus on ROI & revenue growth Promote the company through social media and personal engagement with analysts, press and executives at major conferences continent wide Direct the local marketing team in day-to-day activities, including organisational structure, professional development, motivation, performance evaluation, termination, compensation, etc. Translate Pattern’s brand and market vision into a differentiated and compelling message for target audiences and enable outward-facing teams to articulate Pattern’s value proposition Work closely with partners and the global sales teams to understand client needs and create go-to-market strategies, communication and collateral that reflects Pattern’s key differentiators Exercise a data-centric approach to gathering customer/user insights and using data to improve future marketing campaigns and results Drive PR and an engaging social presence to gain mindshare and tell the Pattern story through media coverage, speaking engagements, and online communities and social networks Lead the creation of content, assets, and tools including sales presentations, ROI tools, white papers, blogs, videos, competitive briefs and other materials Drive demand generation and account-based marketing efforts via digital advertising, webinars, social media, content marketing, and paid search advertising Utilise strong business analytics and data to optimise performance and uncover new areas of growth for the organisation Ensure accurate tracking of opportunity details and campaign performance in Salesforce and Marketo Help plan and organise special events and sponsorships including summits, workshops, webinars, and trainings Liaise with internal team members, advertising agencies, vendors and other Pattern departments (e.g. sales, operations, legal) as needed Required Qualifications The ideal candidate is a world-class marketing and sales professional who has successfully built and led multi-faceted teams, with an emphasis on marketing strategy, demand generation, and business development 8 years experience in building, managing and leading an organisation with a strong ability to recruit, retain, and motivate existing teams and future talent Proven success leading the brand messaging & positioning of an e-commerce or technology products and services organisation Demonstrated track record delivering results against sales and marketing plans Ability to quickly assess and understand customer buyer journeys to improve results, and synthesise into meaningful, quantifiable, differentiated messaging Superb communication skills, with the ability to communicate with executives, customers and frontline employees Highly innovative, with a vision of the future of the company that they can plan, strategise and execute Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel domestically and internationally Demonstrated ability to develop impactful, fact-based, value propositions (requires strong analytical and creative thought processes) Ability to distill learnings and pinpoint customer pain points, as well as turn them into differentiated messaging and content Strong writing, analytical and presentation skills Ability to understand complex processes and technologies, and translate into simple concepts (written, graphical, and verbal) Solid knowledge of analytics tools, and ability to understand customer requirements Up to date with latest trends and best practices in e-commerce marketing and measurement Demonstrable history of data-driven decision-making Executive-level leadership skills in negotiation, influence, and consensus building Expertise in analysing new markets, business opportunities, competitive threats and monetisation models Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related program Preferred Qualifications Past experience building or running a marketing organisation or advertising agency Proficiency with digital advertising platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Google Experience with marketing tech stack and demand generation vendors including DemandBase, TechTarget, Terminus, Madison Logic, Netline, Integrate, Dun and Bradstreet, ClearBit and others Familiarity with Marketing Automation and CRM tools such as Salesforce.com, Marketo, Eloqua, Hubspot, Zift, etc. Experience implementing lead scoring, account-based marketing, full-funnel nurture programs, etc. Experience running social, content, or webinar syndication programs Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Stata, Domo, Smartsheets, Excel, Qlik, etc. Master’s Degree in Finance, Management, Marketing or other business discipline (top tier MBA highly preferred) Experience running social media campaigns on various platforms Proven expertise in running highly effective marketing teams Familiarity with Content Management System
