Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join our sales team in a Hybrid Sales role. This position balances sales support and active sales outreach, making it ideal for a self-motivated professional who excels in organisation, communication, and relationship-building. This role would be structured to cover time in the office handling core sales tasks, and time on the road for scheduled client meetings and sales opportunities.
Duties
1. Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate product recommendations.
2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our products and services to effectively assist customers.
3. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
4. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
5. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
6. Assist in maintaining the visual presentation of the sales area, ensuring it is clean, organised, and appealing.
7. Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
8. Identify and pursue potential clients, proactively seeking new business opportunities.
9. Schedule and attend face-to-face customer meetings to build relationships and close sales.
10. Follow up on leads, inquiries, and referrals to grow the customer base.
11. Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities and report on progress regularly.
12. Manage and update customer records, and ensure accurate documentation.
13. Support the sales team by coordinating quotes, calls, and logistics.
14. Prepare reports on sales activity for internal and external use. Actively use lead generation software to identify opportunities.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a Timber sales role is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
2. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
3. Excellent verbal communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
4. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
5. Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately.
6. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.
7. Ability to work independently and proactively pursue opportunities.
8. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for customer calls & meetings.
