Interim Revenues Team Leader – Local Government (Council Tax & Business Rates)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Interim Revenues Team Leader to join a local government authority in the Midlands, leading an established team within the Council Tax and Business Rates department.
Start Date: Mid-April
Duration: Initial 6-month contract (maternity cover)
Location: Hybrid or fully remote considered
IR35 Status: Inside IR35 – Competitive rates for the right candidate
Role Responsibilities:
1. Managing and supporting the existing team within the Council Tax and Business Rates department
2. Ensuring the efficient collection and administration of local revenues
3. Providing leadership, performance management, and operational oversight
Requirements:
1. Previous local government revenues management experience is essential
2. Strong knowledge of Council Tax and Business Rates
3. IRRV (Institute of Revenues, Rating & Valuation) qualification or equivalent is preferred
