As a Personal Advisor, you would be responsible for supporting young people as they move through their journey from being looked after into independence as a young adult.
Key Tasks Include:
1. Support care experienced young people develop skills to live independently.
2. Empower young people to be able to plan for their futures in a realistic way, including managing expectations.
3. Work closely with a professional network to promote the best outcomes possible for young people.
4. Advocate for young people and support them to have their voices heard.
We are looking for candidates who are:
1. Resilient – able to manage and work with challenging situations using appropriate support.
2. Reflective – able to empathize with the experiences of young people and consider your own role within those experiences.
3. Able to work flexibly and creatively.
4. Able to work autonomously where needed, while being supported more generally by the team.
5. Strong organization skills are important, as well as the ability to work flexibly and creatively.
6. You will need strong communication and relationship-building skills, and an ability to work with a variety of professionals and other agencies.
There will be a need to travel within the county of East Sussex and sometimes nationwide, depending on where the young people are living.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
