As our Quality Manager, you will manage the Quality Department, ensuring that compliant product is made to exacting standards at minimum cost, conforming to Product Regulations, Company Safety and Manufacturing Guidelines whilst adhering to all safety, environmental and energy standards.
What youll be doing
Manage and develop an effective and efficient Quality Management System.
Maintain the current accreditations from various notified bodies such as BSI, BBA etc.Implement projects to ensure that new certification requirements are met in the shortest time.
Continue the development of policies, processes and procedures to assure program, contract, company, regulatory, international standards and working agreements are deployed.
Prepare for and undertake audits from external notified bodies.
To compile, measure and analyse process capability data, models and process improvements and communicate and implement with shop floor production operatives.
Manage and maintain the digital platforms used within the quality department
Conduct quality system and process reviews.
Maintain and develop test protocols to support compliance of product and the identification and removal of unnecessary costs.To ensure that personnel carry out their duties in a safe and effective manner, that factory production control requirements are met and that their training requirements are catered for.
Ensure all calibrations are completed and kept up to date.
Manage the quarantine register of products and liaise with the warehouse manager to facilitate the reworking and disposal of product.
Manage the customer complaint process, analyse and report on customer returns to identify problems/solutions using root cause & effect problem solving methods to determine and implement solutions working with the production process and engineering team to prevent recurrence.
Provide the customer to plant interface and ensure preventive and corrective actions are implemented.
Communicate customer complaints and requirements to production operatives.
liaise with central product and process development department to maximise the success of new product/process trials, including implementing new test processes.
Provide monthly quality statistics and customer complaints data to Central PPD and Plant Manager for RMW plant quality reporting.
Ensure that raw material specifications are supplied, documented and acted upon.Assure quality of incoming raw materials through C of A certificates.
provide monthly quality and compliant statistics to the Plant Manager for key performance indicators.
Provide monthly reports to production operatives and management.
Introduce new technical specification for proposed new products and raw materials whilst challenging where required that the requirements are practical, safe and cost effective.
Support plant trials ensuring that all required trial paperwork is complete and recorded with quality data analysis.
Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System and further the development of operators working in the quality department.
Comply with and promote all health, safety, environmental and energy requirements for the job, site and company.To confront and report unsafe behaviour to prevent safety or environmental incidents.
