Our client, a leader in the renewable energy industry, is seeking a Compliance Manager to join their team and play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory and environmental standards are met.

The RoleAs the Compliance Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Compliance to ensure full adherence to key certifications and regulatory requirements, such as the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC). You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving compliance processes across all levels of the business, particularly focusing on waste management and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with ISCC standards, including feedstock traceability and greenhouse gas (GHG) calculations.
* Manage Waste Duty of Care processes, including Digital Waste Transfer Notes.
* Oversee accurate fuel duty reporting and Renewable Transport Fuel Certificates (RTFCs) claims.
* Manage Environment Agency permitting processes, including waste carrier licences and reporting requirements.
* Serve as a Technically Competent Manager with CIWM/WAMITAB Level 4 qualifications.
* Lead audit preparations and ensure that all relevant documentation is up to date and available.
* Collaborate across departments to maintain certifications and drive compliance-related improvements.
* Supervise and develop a small compliance team.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working within ISCC or similar guidelines, particularly with stock management and traceability of feedstock.
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex compliance systems.
* Previous experience in the renewable energy or waste management sectors is highly desirable.
* Proven track record of working with regulatory bodies and maintaining compliance certifications.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
* A proactive attitude towards process improvement within compliance.
* Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
