Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Colleague Communications, the Internal Communications Manager works as an integral part of the internal communications team and the wider comms team, to develop and deliver programmes and plans that support Allwyn’s vision: to change lives every day – and our mission: to grow the National Lottery responsibly and champion its impact. You will play an important role in helping to create the culture which supports a great place to work and increasing colleague engagement levels, to help deliver our ambitious plans.
Role Responsibilities:
* Supporting colleague engagement and drive to deliver Allwyn UK’s strategy and annual business plan, in line with our mission, vision and values by:
* Developing and delivering internal communications plans and programmes that support the annual internal comms strategy;
* Create compelling best practice content across all internal communications channels, including video, audio, copy and design;
* Measure internal comms activity,and use data and insights for continuous improvement in engagement with internal comms activity, to build trust between the Allwyn leadership team and colleagues.
* Working with colleagues across the broader Comms team and Corporate Affairs and within our external agencies to shape engagement content for our external channels that supports our employer brand;
* Working closely with colleagues across the broader Comms team and Corporate Affairs (in the UK and at Group) to ensure a joined-up approach to content and communications, including managing the most effective sequencing and ensuring consistent and relevant messaging;
* Working closely with colleagues in other functions to support the delivery of functional strategies, including supporting effective scheduling of campaigns and other communications activities
* Using data and staying ahead of new developments to ensure that our channels and content remain engaging and effective and are Fast, Accessible, Social and Timely
Key Skills and Experience:
* A track-record in developing and delivering internal communications plans and content that engage colleagues and support the delivery of business plans and objectives
* Experience of excellence in content creation and delivery across a range of internal communications channels, deploying a range of tools and techniques
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as to deliver work independently when required
* Implementation of emerging best-practice
* Strong listening skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders by providing compelling advice
* Must be willing to work in the Watford office in Clarendon Works three days per week
