The Supplier Quality Engineer Role
As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the quality of components and materials provided by suppliers, along with leading continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Other duties include:
1. Conducting quality assessments and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
2. Evaluate new suppliers and conduct periodic audits of existing suppliers to assess performance.
3. Ensure that incoming materials and components meet required specifications through inspection and testing.
4. Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement initiatives, improving product quality and reducing costs.
5. Maintain records of quality assessments, audits, and corrective actions.
About the successful Supplier Quality Engineer
As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be experienced in supplier quality engineering, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments, with attention to detail and good communication skills.
Other requirements include:
1. Knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards.
2. Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, SPC and PPAP.
3. Familiarity with hydrodynamic bearing technologies or similar manufacturing processes.
4. HNC in Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
5. Ability to travel to supplier sites both in the UK and internationally.
