Due to internal promotion, a unique opportunity has arisen to join the HR team at Middlesbrough Football Club as a part time HR Advisor. THE ROLE The main purpose of the role is to provide the necessary HR, recruitment, training and administration support to the HR Manager and managers across the business, ensuring we remain compliant with employment law and company procedures. The role will be primarily based at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough, however, there may also be an occasional requirement to work at Rockliffe Park Training Ground in Hurworth-on-Tees. The role will be for 25 hours per week and we can offer some flexibility on start and finish times, as long as hours are worked during core business hours. The main responsibilities of the role include: Assisting in the maintenance of a consistent and robust recruitment process ensuring we attract and retain exceptional people. Providing efficient, accurate and thorough administrative support to the HR Manager. Supporting managers with grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings, including minute taking. Ensuring all HR policies are kept relevant and up to date and are communicated effectively to all staff members. Supporting department managers with general employee relation issues. Assisting with any project work allowing the HR function to operate strategically and improve processes across the business. About The Candidate THE CANDIDATE Our ideal candidate will have experience of working in a generalist HR role within a fast-paced environment and be used to a demanding workload. You should: Have experience of providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of HR issues. Possess or be working towards a CIPD qualification. Be highly numerate and literate with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Be IT competent and used to working with Microsoft Office and HR systems. A knowledge of Sage HR would be advantageous. Have excellent attention to detail and be capable of planning and prioritising work. Be able to work on your own initiative and remain calm under pressure. Understand the importance of data protection and confidentiality Have an excellent understanding and commitment to promoting safeguarding, welfare, equality, diversity and inclusion and be able to apply this knowledge within the role.
