We are looking for a salaried GP to recruit, working 4-6 sessions per week.
Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the PMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

We are a friendly and supportive practice based in Washington with 5100 patients. Two GP partners are supported by a brilliant team of clinical and administrative staff who enable us to deliver effective patient care.
We are part of Washington PCN and have access to a very supportive team of Social prescribers, Mental health practitioners, and clinical pharmacists as part of our PCN.
We consult using the EMIS web system.
Job responsibilities
SALARIED GP
Sessions are made up of fourteen appointments including face-to-face and telephone appointments.
GP home visits are conducted as required for care home and palliative patients.
Additional Duties:
1. General admin including referrals, correspondence, lab results, prescriptions, and document processing.
2. One duty doctor session per week, dealing with on-the-day requests, queries, and emergencies and working with our care coordinators.
3. Attendance at clinical meetings.
4. Contract / QOF / audit work as and when required.
5. Insurance reports and other non-GMS work for patients as required.
6. Participate in our Same Day Service rota, as well as Extended Hours as required.
7. Ensure Mandatory training is kept up to date.

Knowledge & Skills
* Have an understanding of the needs of the vulnerable groups of patients that are registered.
* Understand the health and social needs of a local practice patient population.
* Commitment to personal and professional development.
* Commitment to education and training.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Understanding of the current issues and challenges facing primary care.
* Good analytical skills.
* Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
* Understanding/knowledge of:
* Quality & Outcomes Framework (QOF).
* Demand management.
* Read codes.
* Experience working with the homeless, looked after children, asylum seekers, refugees, and other vulnerable groups.
Qualifications
* Recent experience of working in general practice in the UK.
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
* Be on the medical performers list.
* Commitment to and experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary and skill mixed team environment.
* Experience of working to achieve standards within the Quality and Outcome Framework (QOF).
* Annual appraisal and revalidation, when appropriate.
* Evidence of independent working in General Practice.
* Experience of supporting service change.
* Evidence of participation in QOF.
* Evidence of participation in Audit.
* Additional qualifications in a specialist area or training and teaching, clinical diplomas.
Experience
* A medical practitioner whose name is included in the Qualified General Practitioner (completed certificate of Completion of Training) (CCT).
* DBS clearance.
* Evidence of further postgraduate educational activities in relevant fields.
* Evidence of working in a GP practice.
