Cover Supervisors needed in Sheffield!

TimePlan Education are looking for full time and part time cover supervisors to join the team in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals looking to teach and gain real experience developing classroom management skills whilst earning competitive rates of pay. TimePlan works with reputable Secondary schools across South Yorkshire who are able to support cover supervisors dedicated to improving students' learning.
We offer in-house training for all cover supervisors, as well as opportunities to work in a variety of schools on a long-term or short-term basis, including permanent work for the right candidates. You will be given all the resources required to become an effective and successful cover supervisor, alongside an experienced consultant committed to finding you the perfect placement.
Cover Supervisor Responsibilities Include:
1. Managing a classroom in the teacher's absence
2. Covering a variety of lessons such as Maths, English, and Science as well as all other subjects
3. Presenting students with work provided, either online or from worksheets
4. Ensuring all work is completed and kept safe for when the teacher returns
5. Prioritising the safety and wellbeing of students, managing behaviour in line with the school's policies
6. Reporting any concerns to the safeguarding team
The Ideal Cover Supervisor Will Have:
1. Excellent communication skills
2. Confidence following the school's policy
3. Time management and organisation skills
4. Desire to inspire and motivate young people
5. Ability to adapt and use initiative
