The ideal candidate will have experience in META product development, engineering and project management. You will be responsible for leading the development of new products from concept to launch, as well as improving existing products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet customer needs and are delivered on time and within budget. Lead, run and supervise development projects following the Magnera Innovation Process. Identify new product opportunities, develop new product concepts and assess their feasibility Modify existing products to improve performance or to use them in adjacent applications Prepare project and resource plan, regular reporting on results, etc. Prepare internal trials for new products, follow scale-up process, run converting trials at customers, provide product guidance Screen alternative raw materials for new developments, cost-out and continuous improvement initiatives for products / processes Update internal processes as required, trouble shoot internally and at customers to maintain performance and product quality Understand customer- / market needs, develop strong technical customer relationship, support Purchasing/Sales in alignment with P roduct D evelopment Manager Supportive function in case of customer claims and technical questions on the products Market, product, technology watch: stay informed on developments in assigned area incl. competitive products / technologies Study technical literature, patents and other technical materials as needed and draw appropriate conclusions Give support where needed, operate between UK and German manufacturing sites Essential: BSc degree in chemistry, material/polymer science, printing Desired: Master degree in chemistry, material/polymer science, printing Project Management qualification is desirable, together with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt You will ideally have 3-5 years in Product Development focusing on printing, films, coatings, packaging, ink/binder, paper, Aluminum with pr oven capability in Product Development experience Familiarity with reel fed production processes Demonstrated experience in solvent / water based systems Experience in international companies with matrix organization
