Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

About the Role: You will be responsible for conducting routine inspections of fire doors across various residential properties to ensure compliance with the latest safety regulations. This role involves carrying out quarterly inspections of common area fire doors and annual checks of flat front doors. You’ll also be supporting property managers by conducting general building safety assessments as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct quarterly inspections of fire doors in communal areas, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards.
* Perform annual inspections of flat front doors across residential buildings.
* Identify and document any wear, defects, or safety non-compliance issues using inspection software.
* Keep accurate and detailed records of inspections, findings, and any required actions.
* Support general building inspections and provide recommendations for fire safety improvements.
* Communicate effectively with building managers, residents, and stakeholders regarding inspections and outcomes.
* Stay updated on fire safety regulations and attend relevant training sessions to continuously enhance your expertise.
About You: To succeed in this role, you will be proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently. Your experience in fire door inspections, combined with excellent communication and record-keeping skills, will be key in ensuring all safety measures are up to standard.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience as a Fire Door Inspector or in a similar fire safety role.
* Strong understanding of fire door components, their installation, and maintenance standards.
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify safety issues.
* Familiarity with using inspection software or apps to log inspection results.
* A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various properties in the area.
* Great organisational skills and ability to manage multiple inspection schedules.
