Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Company Overview:
My client is a well-established contractor specializing in housing modernisation schemes, completing work at the request of the Council. They are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor with experience in construction or housing to oversee cost control, pricing, and project variations for property modernisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare property costings: Develop accurate prices for a range of housing projects, including initial estimates and detailed breakdowns.
2. Measurement and cost projection: Carry out all necessary measurements for each property and forecast total project costs based on housing specifications.
3. Variation management: Oversee and manage any changes or variations during the modernisation process, documenting these with photos and ensuring client approval.
4. Client liaison: Work closely with the Council and other stakeholders to ensure project scope, timelines, and costs are managed efficiently.
5. On-site coordination: Visit properties, gather data, and support the team in project planning and execution.
6. Reporting: Provide regular updates and cost reports to the project manager.
Requirements:
1. Strong background in construction or housing projects.
2. Ability to manage costs, variations, and accurate reporting for multiple properties.
3. Proficiency in cost management and measurement.
4. Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and contractors.
