Job Description An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for 2 Assistant Supervisors to join our Nightshift Services team on a permanent basis. NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services. Position Details You will assist the Supervisor with the delivery of Nightshift Services with all aspects of Street Cleansing. Duties will include monitoring/directing resources to ensure the effective delivery of front-line services, preparing/monitoring works programmes in relation to routine, cyclical and planned works and to ensure compliance with health & safety legislation. A current driving licence, a current first aid certificate or a willingness to work towards this, plus the ability to communicate clearly and precisely to staff and customers in a professional manner is an essential requirement of this role. Experience in an operational environment, previous supervisory experience, and health & safety training would be advantageous. It is anticipated that interviews will take place from week commencing 14 April 2025. Contract Details Weekly Hours: an average of 37 per week Work Pattern: 4 on, 4 off permanent nightshift rota Annual Salary: £29,751.95 - £33,585.88on an incremental scale Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts a non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £10,510 and a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,127.
