As the Patient Equity Lead, you will:
• Implement theAccessible Information Standard (AIS)across the Trust to improve access to care for patients with disabilities, language barriers, and cultural differences.
• Oversee and manage the Trust’sInterpretation and Translation services, ensuring high-quality delivery and value for resources.
• Leadpatient accessibility and equity initiativesto address health inequalities and enhance patient experiences.
• Provide expert guidance onEDI principlesto clinical teams, senior leaders, and regional partners.
• Analysepatient access and outcomesdatato identify inequalities and design solutions for equitable care.
• Develop and delivertraining sessionson health inequalities, cultural competency, and reasonable adjustments.
• Engagedirectly with patients, families, and advocacy groups to ensure their voices shape services.
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills to influence senior leaders and engage diverse teams.
• Expertise in EDI, health inequalities, and service improvement.
• Analytical skills to assess data and develop actionable insights.
• A proactive approach to planning and delivering projects in a complex healthcare environment.
