Job summary Applications are invited for a Clinical Teaching Fellow (CTF) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology suitable for grades ST5 and above with a start date of 6th August 2025. The post is for a 12 month fixed term period This is a full time post, comprising of 50% teaching and 50% clinical time based on University Hospital of Wales (UHW) and University Hospital Llandough (UHL) sites. This post offers an exiting opportunity for a forward thinking doctor with a strong interest in medical education. Support may be available to pursue a postgraduate medical education based qualification. Main duties of the job The postholder will be is responsible for teaching and supporting undergraduate medical students during their specialty clinical placements within Obstetrics and Gynaecology, implementing Cardiff University's C21 curriculum. This role will involve direct teaching, pastoral care, examination preparation and assessments. The postholder will also be encouraged to support the postgraduate education activities of the department, including MDT obstetric emergency training and simulation training. Clinical time will be spent in the Department and the postholder will participate in 1:10 senior tier rota.
