Reed Accountancy are currently partnered with a long established client in the Billingshurst area in the recruitment of a Finance Assistant to join their team to cover maternity. They are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is willing to undertake a wide range of tasks within a busy finance department. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and capable of supporting the Finance Team, especially during strict reporting deadlines.
Day-to-day duties of the Finance Assistant:
* Processing supplier invoices against purchase orders and accurately posting to the ledger.
* Performing monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
* Invoicing for our house accounts.
* Conducting bank reconciliations.
* Processing expenses and credit card transactions.
* Administering contract manager systems.
* Managing credit control for our SLA/License income stream.
* Providing cover for other team members during busy periods or periods of annual leave.
* Demonstrating a proactive approach within the Finance Team, willing to get involved and investigate issues where necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous relevant experience within a busy Accounts team.
* Proficiency in Sage 50 is required; Sage 200 experience is preferred.
* Strong Excel skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* AAT or relevant accounting qualification would be an advantage.
