There will also be times that you will be required to travel to our other Sites within the Distribution Network. The salary range for this role is set at £48,800 to £77,900 per annum. This is a permanent position, working full time (35 hours per week) across Monday to Friday. About the role As the Operations Manager within the John Lewis Supply Chain Commercial Planning Team, you will be the expert in driving decision making that ensures our Supply Chain optimises costs and efficiency. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, increase overall productivity and reduce operating costs, enabling operational and financial decision making. In this role you will collaborate across the John Lewis Supply Chain including Customer Fulfilment and with Trading, Merchandising, Finance and Procurement teams, leading on the creation of a commercial narrative. You’ll be creating reporting which builds the understanding of the Supply Chain’s performance and which surfaces issues, risks and opportunities. Through the translation of financial forecasts into operational budgets, you will drive an efficient Supply Chain operation across all sites in the John Lewis network. Additionally, you will support the development of longer term strategic planning of the network and contractual agreements through the provision of performance reporting and insight about our current operations and analysis of the impact, and then the tracking of benefits of change. You will lead a team who identify opportunities to improve productivity performance across the Supply Chain and provide stakeholders with insights and analysis on productivity and performance to inform their decision making. You will manage how productivity and performance data is captured and measured across all of the JLP supply chain sites. Additionally you will ensure supply chain stock integrity controls are reviewed and updated inline with any changes across the distribution network and that the Supply Chain complies with external control frameworks, ensuring that any recommendations made as a result of audit findings are captured, communicated, tracked and implemented. Essential skills you’ll need Broad understanding of end to end Supply Chain operations Exceptional Financial capability: Highly analytical and data driven (a qualified Accountant is preferred but not essential).
