Overview of the role:
We are looking for a Senior Product Compliance Manager to join our Betfair International team!
Betfair International is growing and we want to make sure our customers are safe and getting the best localised betting and gaming experiences no matter where they are in the world. Regulation is constantly evolving across the globe, and we need someone to help optimise our product compliance processes.
This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. The expectation would be for you to be in the office twice a week.
Our Leeds office is at the heart of our business. The 8-storey building has an onsite staff gym and cafeteria, two heated rooftop terraces, a dedicated gaming room and a staircase amphitheatre. The space brings all our teams under one roof in the biggest private letting office in Yorkshire.
What you’ll do:
Reporting into the Head of Product – Customer/Account, this role will be accountable for the coordination of all prioritised product compliance requests, ranging from licence change requests to internal monitoring findings. Leaning on and supporting other teams to deliver, the successful candidate will also play a key role in enhancing internal processes through analysis, improvement recommendations and documentation, including consideration of team structure to appropriately manage the critical intake process.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
1. Development, implementation and ongoing management of a compliance intake process; managing delivery of regulatory change
2. Accountable for the overall Product Compliance intake process, portfolio, governance and reporting. Communicating openly and effectively with Management and Senior Leadership on progress, risks and KPIs
3. Own the product relationship with Central Compliance, being the gatekeeper for all requests and updates across the product
4. Drive a culture of continuous improvement by working with all key stakeholders to introduce and optimise a systematic approach to ensure product compliance
5. Work closely with business stakeholders from across commercial, product, tech and central compliance to ensure regulatory compliance across Betfair International and, where required, to collate adequate data and regulatory insight to support leadership to make informed decisions
6. Identifying and reporting on all Product Compliance risk exposures
7. Work closely with the Product Leads to ensure all large-scale initiatives are fully supported
8. Ensure policies, processes and procedures are accurately documented, implemented and followed in Product, to demonstrate regulatory compliance
9. Leading by example to champion our approach of Customer, Collaboration & Compliance
10. Contribute towards cross-brand alignment and knowledge sharing to ensure compliance across all Flutter brands
11. This role may require quarterly travel to Cluj, Porto, Dublin or London
What you’ll bring:
Your experience:
We are looking for an individual with strong experience of product management or regulatory delivery;
12. Previous experience as Senior BA, Compliance/Risk or Product Manager with experience of working within a scaled agile development methodology environment
13. A strong leader who can motivate the team and influence wider teams to deliver to the highest standards and to challenge the status quo
14. Bring a deep understanding and experience of Business Analysis / Product Management best practice including running workshops to elicit requirements
15. Naturally collaborative with a strong commitment to encouraging cross-functional problem solving and decision making to realise outcomes and build trust
16. An analytical and inquisitive mind-set with the ability to analyse problems, determine solutions, and produce tangible outcomes
17. Ability to maintain a balance between short-term delivery and longer-term strategy
18. Highly organised and self-motivated, with a desire to see a job through to conclusion
19. Excellent communication skills, comfortable operating at all levels of an organisation
20. Experience working in the online sports/gaming industry advantageous but not needed
