Project Management Input to the development of project scoping from an early stage, with key partners and governing boards Prepare and submit project plans, with clear deliverables, milestones and targets and ensure all approvals have been gained prior to research commencing Establish, manage, and coordinate relevant local and national ATMP working groups, including a clinical advisory group and scoping and feasibility group to drive expertise across the ATMP field and ensure relevant discussions feed in and out of the ATTC programme as appropriate. The post holder will also manage a scoping and feasibility group, allowing industry to discuss upcoming trials with relevant stakeholders and provide support to a Pan UK Forum for Clinical Trial Acceleration. Assist in the writing and evaluation of project documentation and adjust as required/if targets are not met, in line with partner requirements Develop and implement suitable action plans and tracking tools to monitor progress/challenges for all aspects of the project Take responsibility for data collection, security, integrity, confidentiality and monitoring against deliverables and milestones, as part of the on-going management of a variety of projects Demonstrate good planning and organisational skills across a broad range of activities Develop and manage the risk management strategy and monitoring tools with partners Raise any areas of concern, risks, or issues to the Programme Manager Maintain and update project databases Conduct research activity within the research governance framework Attend mandatory and specialist training in accordance with local policy and research governance Represent the iMATCH Programme Manager at other working groups and provide support to them as appropriate. Finance/Budget Management Identify potential future funding opportunities which add value to current iMATCH project aims and deliverables Assist in oversight of the project budget, ensuring finances are well managed throughout the project duration Deputise and assist with day-to-day project budget management duties, including administering, monitoring, and reporting on the budget as stipulated by the funder, also acting as budget holder for projects Develop and maintain excellent working relationship with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust finance department and University Research Finance/Support/Contracts teams to provide supporting information for iMATCH projects and to troubleshoot any issues that arise Communications Represent iMATCH/the ATTC network at regional or Pan UK forums or working groups in relation to programme/project activities Serve as a main point of contact for associated research teams and study investigators, external funding bodies, pharmaceutical companies etc, as applicable Lead and support iMATCH internal and external communication so that collaborations and outputs are maximised Liaise with a wide range of academic, clinical, managerial, and administrative staff throughout the Trust, and other academic, healthcare and industry partners/stakeholders across iMATCH, on a local and national basis Communicate persuasively to project boards and staff on project requirements, negotiate with and motivate partners on project delivery, including linking with other initiatives Arrange project meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and distribute as appropriate, following up any action points; and feedback on progress / challenges Communicate sensitive information about performance and change, make routine/complex formal presentations to large groups Draft abstracts and posters for local, national and international conferences Prepare and submit reports for governing /funding bodies as required Analyse research results, produce summary reports and present complex findings to team / project meetings Support drafting, proofread and edit manuscripts before submission to scientific journals. Coordinate the process from submission to publication Organise external collaborative and training meetings: invite speakers, book venue, liaise with organisers and attendees, advertise event Support iMATCH internal and external communication so that collaborations and outputs are maximised Where appropriate link with the Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC) and the Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC) Contribute to ATTC project web site content, if required. Work flexibly to attend meetings and events Other Able to exercise analytical and critical thinking - assimilating complex facts or situations, requiring interpretation and comparison of a range of options to meet project standards Contribute to the development of systems and infrastructure, business development activities and financial management Assist, support and supervise relevant members of the iMATCH Project management team and complete any other tasks in line with the teams overall objectives/deliverables.
