Key Responsibilities: Provide effective social work intervention to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in need, including those with disabilities. Ensure timely action to secure permanence for children who cannot live at home, addressing their needs through care and pathway plans. Maintain child-centred practices, incorporating their views and wishes into assessments, planning, and interventions. Offer professional leadership to foster collaboration among professionals to meet the needs of children, including care leavers. Strengthen protective factors and reduce risks by working closely with parents, carers, foster carers, and other guardians. Support children in achieving health, development, and educational goals while preparing for their transition to adulthood. What We’re Looking For: Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration. Experience in children’s services, particularly in Children in Care or Care Leavers teams. Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices and relevant legislation. Ability to balance a hybrid working schedule, with 3 days in the office (including visits) and 2 days working remotely.
