Job Title: Resident Data Centre Air Conditioning Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning biased HVAC Engineer to join our team at a leading Data Hosting company in Slough.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to transition into the specialist Data Centre engineering sector and work for one of the top 3 Global players in critical Engineering and data centre facilities organisations.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and air conditioning systems, with good hands-on experience in carrying out planned and reactive maintenance. They will also be knowledgeable about CRAC units, large commercial water chillers and split A/C units from major manufacturers.
The role offers a competitive salary of £52,500 (basic) + 10% annual bonus, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including private healthcare, 25 days annual leave, life assurance, and pension.
The duties will encompass:
* Oversight of mechanical vendors' HVAC delivery, ensuring statutory and contractual deliverables are achieved within SLAs.
* Authorization and oversight of mechanical MOP/SOP/EOP, regardless of source.
* Ensuring that HVAC specialists provide relevant RAMS, suitable and sufficient.
* Acting as a mechanical competent person (CP).
* Attending AP11 and medic first aid training, and being an Authorised Person (AP).
* Technical oversight on all mechanical works and projects (In-Life and Fit-Out).
* Assisting with commissioning and witnessing existing infrastructure upgrades and enhancements.
* Participating in-house training to operational colleagues to increase awareness and competencies with respect of mechanical/HVAC systems.
