HGV Mechanic Shift:2 pm - 10 pm Full-time, Permanent Level 3 qualified technicians required Overview We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles. As an HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics services. Duties Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on heavy goods vehicles to identify faults and issues. Perform repairs and maintenance on various components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out repairs and assembly tasks. Maintain accurate records of work completed, including parts used and time taken for each job. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working in the workshop environment. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems. Assist in heavy lifting and moving of equipment as required during repair processes. Experience Proven experience in equipment repair and maintenance of heavy goods vehicles is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively. Familiarity with welding techniques and soldering is advantageous. Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
