Sellick Partnership is thrilled to be assisting a Local Authority in Essex with the recruitment for a Litigation Lawyer. This is an excellent opportunity for a non-qualified or foreign qualified lawyer seeking to undertake the SQE or QLTS.
The successful Litigation Lawyer will be joining a supportive and flexible legal services team, undertaking a mixed caseload of civil and criminal litigation matters.
Responsibilities of the Litigation Lawyer:
1. Managing a range of civil and criminal litigation cases under the supervision of the Principal Lawyer
2. Developing expertise in areas such as housing, judicial review, criminal prosecutions, regulatory matters, and more
3. Representing the Council in the County and Magistrates Court, providing advocacy services and managing litigation
Experience required for the Litigation Lawyer role:
1. Legal Degree or equivalent
2. Commitment to completing the SQE or QLTS
3. Prior experience within litigation
4. Experience in preparing reports and legal documents
5. Commitment to continuous professional development and training
