Responsibilities of a Commercial Account Handler
1. Placing Insurance Programmes for a major Client portfolio which is growing significantly and consistently
2. Servicing and administering this portfolio, including: -
3. Ensuring the adequacy and appropriateness of cover
4. Checking the accuracy of policy documentation
5. Resolving Client enquiries in a friendly, professional, and timely manner
6. Providing effective day to day management of the client relationship
7. Undertaking renewal broking exercises, including: -
8. Updating risk information
9. Negotiating with insurers
10. Liaising with the Account Executive or Account Director
11. Developing and maintaining strong client and insurer relationships
12. Providing technical expertise across a broad range of commercial insurance business
13. Occasional client visits in support of the Account Executive or Account Director
A successful Commercial Account Handler will have:
14. Good all-round Commercial Insurance experience
15. A desire to develop strong client and insurer relationships
16. Well-developed negotiation skills
17. The ability to support colleagues in a close team environment
18. Excellent organisational skills
