Numero Recruitment, the leading recruiter for Audit jobs across the South East & London are currently recruiting for one of the UK’s leading and fastest growing accountancy firms that would like to recruit an Audit Senior into their experienced team in Orpington.
Reporting to the Audit Manager and Partners, this position is designed to provide a high level of service to various audit clients. The main purpose of the role is to ensure compliance with GAPP and practical guidance is provided on regulatory matters such as tax and VAT regulations, requirements of UK law and the principles of good governance.
Clients include companies which fall under the Act as well as charities, solicitors, clubs and academies. This role will evolve to take full responsibility for a portfolio of such clients.
The Role:
1. Managing audits both in but primarily out of the office using a computerised audit system
2. To supervise and assist junior team members both in house and off site
3. To delegate and review work of junior team members; including audit files, draft documentation, accounts and corporation tax computations
4. Attend client meetings and deal with client queries as they arise.
5. Ensure client engagement documentation is up to date
6. Drafting of client invoices and to chase outstanding invoices
7. Regular review of client WIP and debtor
8. To assist in the preparation of proposals for new work, where necessary
9. To act as a mentor for junior team members and provide day to day training
10. Attendance at marketing events
Requirements:
11. ACA Qualified with recent experience in practice
12. Eligibility to live and work in the UK
13. Experience of completing audit and accounts work for a variety of business entities
14. Possess a high level of technical knowledge combined with excellent commercial awareness
15. Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to the audience
16. Proficient in the use of using a computerised audit systems
17. Competent in Microsoft office, including Excel and Word
18. Ability to identify commercial and professional risks and ensure these are managed effectively
19. Ability to prioritise workload in order to achieve work deadlines
20. Project a professional manner and appearance at all times
21. Track record of successfully managing, motivating and leading junior staff on assignments
22. Ability to delegate effectively
23. Driver with access to a car
