* We seek individuals who have a strong understanding of data quality principles and best practices. You should possess experience with data engineering, data warehousing, and data mesh concepts. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this role. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience as a Data Quality Engineer or Data Analyst, with proficiency in SQL and Python. Additionally, familiarity with modern data testing frameworks, such as dbt and Great Expectations, along with experience in writing and maintaining dbt tests for data transformations and knowledge of CI/CD practices for data pipelines will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities:
* As a Data Quality Engineer, I will develop and implement a comprehensive data quality framework that includes defining data quality metrics, setting up data quality checks, and automating quality monitoring. I will work closely with domain data owners and Data Protection Officers (DPOs) to ensure adherence to SLAs and data contracts, while monitoring data quality against these agreements. Conducting in-depth data analysis to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies will be part of my role. I will also develop and execute data validation rules and tests to ensure data accuracy and adherence to data standards through unit testing and automated testing. Utilizing cloud platforms like AWS and GCP services to build and maintain the data estate is crucial. Establishing alerting and monitoring systems will be my responsibility to proactively identify and address data quality issues, and I will effectively communicate with stakeholders, including data engineers, data analysts, and business users, to understand their data needs and resolve any data quality issues.
