The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of relevant work experience, preferably gained in a banking, real estate brokerage, or private equity environment. This role will involve analyzing financial data and credit information to support investment decisions in financing net lease properties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate and analyze financial statements, credit reports, and lease agreements for net lease properties to assess creditworthiness and investment potential.
2. Conduct thorough risk assessments specific to the net lease sector, identifying potential financial exposure and recommending strategies to mitigate risks.
3. Prepare detailed analytical reports and presentations, including financial forecasts, cash flow analyses, and scenario modeling for investment opportunities.
4. Collaborate with internal teams, including investments and asset management, to develop and refine credit policies and underwriting standards specific to net lease transactions.
5. Monitor market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the net lease sector and provide insights to senior management.
6. Assist in the development of financial models tailored to net lease properties to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
7. Maintain accurate documentation of credit analyses, financial assessments, and investment recommendations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (CFA, CPA) are a plus.
2. 3-4 years of experience in credit analysis or financial analysis, with a focus on the net lease sector; experience in banking, real estate brokerage, or private equity is highly desirable.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, particularly related to net lease transactions.
4. Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including Excel and relevant financial software.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present findings to stakeholders and senior management.
6. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
7. Knowledge of net lease structures, credit risk assessment methodologies, and compliance regulations.
