Main duties of the job You will be responsible for the holistic care of childbearing patients and their families. Care provided must be evidence based and planned in partnership to meet the needs of the patient. You are required to use the full range of midwifery skills in a variety of settings. Need to be aware of national/local health initiatives and develop strategies for the delivery of health promotion to meet the needs of the patient. You will deputise for all aspects of the work of the Band 7 midwife and participate in the development and teaching of staff and students.
