HSE Manager
This is a unique and challenging opportunity to take on multi-site responsibility across an expanding pharmaceutical manufacturing business looking to strengthen their approach to consistent Health and Safety management. Having pushed forward over the past two years in a number of successful projects to increase manufacturing and headcount, Health and Safety remains a clear area of focus.
Whilst this is multi-site focused, it is important to recognize that there is a critical focus not just on HSE oversight but also on hands-on responsibility across all Health and Safety aspects. The unique nature of the manufacturing will require you to bring previous experience in either radiation and/or radioactivity. This will include how to create consistency in procedures and support local site challenges to maintain compliance.
Given that the business is looking to expand its number of facilities, the HSE Manager will also be responsible for creating new documentation and processes to implement. The position will be based remotely and not assigned to one facility; however, you will be expected to travel to spend time in person at each site around once per month. Therefore, flexibility to travel within the UK is critical. A car/car allowance will be provided as part of the wider benefits package to support this.
In the first 6 months, 3 days on site in one of the South-East facilities in Surrey will be required to support immediate challenges.
Key experience:
1. Established and experienced HSE/Health and Safety professional with hands-on experience
2. Must have experience in relevant radioactive settings (this does not have to be pharmaceuticals)
3. IRR17 experience and exposure to carrying out radiological risk assessments
4. Exceptional stakeholder management skills
5. Hands-on approach with the ability to work with all levels in the business
HSE, health, safety, environmental, IOSHH, NEBOSH, IRR17, nuclear, radioactive, radioactivity, radiopharmaceuticals, PET, tracer, radiation, cyclotron, risk, management, assessment.
