Title – Electrician
Pay Rate – £34,254.26 + Callout and Overtime
Location – Croydon / London
Shift Timings – Full time 36.5 hours
Primary Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up
and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Your job will involve installing electrical wiring in
buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions and blackouts and repairing appliances.
Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be first and foremost
responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must also be
experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems.
The goal will be to produce and maintain well functioning electrical connections to minimize the
probability of accidents and maximize usability of electricity in all facilities, confidentiality is
required in this role.
Experience & Qualifications:
Proven experience & relevant qualifications as an electrician
Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.)
and electrical drawings and blueprints
Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work
Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code IEE Reg & Part P
Responsibilities:
Signing off completed Work Orders and returning Work Orders in good time to the
Administration office for closing on the system
Ensure Timesheet is available on time
Ensuring at all times that work is undertaken in an effective and efficient manner and
operational planning of the maintenance service is undertaken as required
Ensure that the companies Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental policies and
standards are complied with at all times. Actively promote a zero accident culture.
Available to meet the requirements of the contract on a 24 hour x 7 day x 365 days/ annum
basis for emergency response.
To supervise the service delivery to ensure that client's needs are met in accordance with
contractually agreed targets and service level agreements.
To be responsible for the operational performance and rectification where required.
Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning lighting, intercom and other
electrical systems
Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems
Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels
Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and
insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
Perform effective troubles
Other Duties as Assigned
Other duties could include working in other areas of Special Events to provide support during
absences or shortage of staff in other trades or to perform duties within Traffic Management and
other duties.
Requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their
normal area of expertise to meet the requirement of the Met Police Contract

You will be required to do call out for a 7 day period which is 1 week in 5 rota. The call out payment is £175.67. per week. plus, overtime when called out
18th edition will also be required
All qualifications / passport/driving licence to be avabile at interview
