An exciting opportunity has arisen in our small animal practice located in Durham Vets for Pets for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, professional team on a full-time basis. We are based in a brand new, purpose designed building offering all you could want in a practice!
Our lovely team really enjoy socialising together including an annual garden party, access to a chalet in the French Alps and nurse lead outings. We'll also provide cake on your birthday! A work/life wellness balance is important to us, so Durham Vets4Pets team consists of 5 vets, 6 RVNs, 3 SVNs, 1ACA. We have 3 vets working per day 2 consulting and 1 full surgical vet.
We’re looking for a nurse who wants to bring fresh ideas to the practice and who is looking to be part of a growing team. Nurses with certificates in Anaesthesia, exotics, feline friendly nursing, ECC & Nutrition. We have vets studying for surgery cert and vets with "special interest" in orthopaedics.
This position is full time, and you would be working on a rota basis, working 1 in 4/5 Saturdays alongside another RVN but no OOH.
About You
You will have a good experience of veterinary nursing, excellent customer service and communication skills, be an effective team player, have a systematic approach when making decisions and be able to carry out the role effectively with planning and organisation. You are friendly, down-to-earth, have a genuine interest in animal welfare and enjoy the variety provided by the clients and colleagues alike.
