TES Electrical and Mechanical LTD are currently recruiting to expand our growing team of electricians to work in Glasgow/Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will be experienced in domestic installations, able to work on their own or as part of a team while showing initiative throughout. It is expected that opportunities to work within a commercial environment will be available during the course of employment.
Candidates must be enthusiastic, presentable, and have a good manner with clients. For those with a full UK driving licence, you will be provided with a company van.
Duties:
1. Install and repair electrical systems and equipment in a domestic setting.
2. Read and interpret electrical drawings and schedules to determine the layout of electrical wiring and equipment.
3. Perform electrical installations, including wiring, conduit, fixtures, switches, and outlets.
4. Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify the root cause of problems.
5. Repair or replace faulty electrical components as would be encountered within a domestic setting.
6. Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
7. Follow all safety protocols and adhere to electrical codes and regulations.
8. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects that require multiple skill sets.
Requirements:
1. Completion of a recognised apprenticeship program.
2. Valid 18th edition BS 7671 electrician's certification.
3. Valid CSCS card.
4. Proven experience working as an electrician in a domestic setting.
5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings.
6. Knowledge of electrical systems and safety procedures.
7. Attention to detail.
8. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
9. Excellent communication skills.
10. Full clean driving licence.
