Position: Managerial Line Manager for Corporate Affairs Team
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Affairs Team.
2. Manage staff, including absence management, recruitment, HR issues, appraisals, work allocation, and mandatory training.
3. Provide specialist support and development to the Corporate Affairs Team.
4. Implement best practices and standardize office systems and processes.
5. Provide induction, advice, and training to new staff.
6. Monitor workload and performance against accuracy and timeliness standards.
7. Plan, implement, and support membership recruitment and engagement activities.
8. Administer elections and appointments to the Council of Governors.
9. Manage the Trust's membership database.
10. Serve as an ambassador for the Trust.
11. Develop and maintain website pages related to Corporate Affairs functions.
12. Deputize for the Corporate Affairs Manager regarding the Board and its Committees.
13. Coordinate meetings, including booking accommodations, preparing agendas, and recording minutes.
14. Provide administrative support to the Council of Governors and its Committees.
15. Maintain statutory registers and records management systems.
16. Manage requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act.
17. Develop and maintain the Trust's publication scheme and disclosure log.
18. Provide advice and guidance on FOIA and EIR requirements.
19. Support the development and implementation of corporate records policies.
20. Communicate sensitive information and manage the Corporate Affairs filing system.
21. Assist patients and the public as needed.
22. Other duties relevant to the grade.
