Job Description
A specialist Electronics manufacturer is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team.
As a Quality Engineer, you will support the development and maintenance of the company's Business Management System by promoting and developing a positive Quality culture within the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting all other departments to ensure compliance with accreditations, primarily AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (Medical Devices), and others as required by customer or market needs.
2. Leading product quality in production, including containment, investigation, correction, implementation, and validation of corrective actions.
3. Assisting in the development of a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the Business.
4. Supporting the introduction of customer-led Quality Initiatives such as Total Preventative Maintenance.
5. Developing operational procedures for all departments.
6. Developing a detailed understanding of all of the company's manufacturing processes, customers, and products.
7. Developing, maintaining, monitoring, and reviewing Quality Manufacturing Plans and PFMEAs for key products.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS
Ideally, you should have:
1. Education to HNC level (Level 4) in a discipline beneficial to the Company’s needs, such as Electronics Engineering.
2. IPC qualifications in electronics engineering or equivalent.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality position within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
4. Experience working within one of the following regulated industries: ISO 9001, AS 9100, ISO 13485, IATF 16949.
5. Experience in problem-solving and investigation tools such as 8D, CAPA, and 5-Whys.
6. Experience in quality systems auditing.
7. Experience in inspection, including first article inspection.
8. Experience in planning and conducting supplier audits.
The Package:
Up to £42,500
Standard Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00, Friday: 08:30 - 15:30
Flexible working hours are an option.
