Job Description Development Finance Manager Hours: 40 hours per week Location: Head Office: Oxford Road, Manchester, M1 5EE Reporting to: Development Director Salary: Up to £75k dependent on experience Role Profile Beech Holdings is a fast-moving property developer with a pipeline in excess of £430m GDV in Manchester City Centre and other principal UK Cities. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Manager to join our busy and expanding Development team, to provide the overarching Financial Business planning, Budget management and financial monitoring processes to support the delivery of our residential development portfolio. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, talented, and ambitious Finance Manager, with financial experience of working in a main Contractor / Developer organisation. We are committed to rapidly increasing the size of our business through refurbishment and new build projects. The successful candidate will need to keep pace with change and have senior financial management expertise to co-ordinate and set the Development department 5 year business plan, annual budgets, and introduce financial monitoring systems to ensure BHI successfully delivers its development projects to agreed financial budgets / and KPI targets. Key responsibilities: • Working with the Development Director, take the lead on co-ordinating the production of the BHI Development 5year Financial Business plan. • Working with the Development Director, lead and co-ordinate the production of a new Target Operating Model (TOM) for the development delivery process, including a recommended and approved profit share arrangement between the BHI team and its Equity Funding partners • To lead the co-ordination and production of the annual Development team budget, including the production of monthly financial KPI update reports for presentation to the BHI Board. • To lead the production of monthly cashflow updates with the Finance Business officer/ relevant Development Surveyor for all BHI development projects – reporting to Directors the actual performance of projects to agreed budgets. • To lead the co-ordination of the monthly BHI Development invoicing process / cash call to the BHI’s funders. • To agree delivery targets for the Development Management Accountant • To identify areas for financial process improvements for the Development team function Qualifications, Experience and Skills: • Full financial qualification – ACCA or CIMA / Chartered Accountant • Minimum of 5years experience working for a main Contactor / Developer in a Senior Financial Management role • Proven experience of assembling Financial Business Plans and Annual Budgets • High level knowledge of the construction / development process • Staff management skills • Proven track record of creating and using complex financial models in Excel. • A knowledge and of the Argus real estate appraisal is desirable.
