The Role: Receptionist We are looking for a receptionist that encompasses natural warmth and a welcoming manner. Articulate with reservations and administration duties, possess a ‘can do’ attitude and looks for the plus ones, to enhance the guest’s experience. Enjoys the buzz of a busy venue with the ability to stay focused, presenting a high level of customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks of a hotel receptionist, ensuring standards of procedures are met, good telephony skills are a must and a good level of numeracy for balancing payments is required. With a lot of todays’ reservations coming via the internet, having a good understanding of IT, EPOS, PMS and PDQ machines will be required. You will need to be calm and methodical and have a good understanding of the overall operational workings of the hotel. Your communication skills with your team will need to be on point, ensuring all guests needs are organised. You will be passionate for being best in class and progressive about the future. Having a smart and presentable manner, you will love being the welcoming host of our venue. The reception desk is the main port of call for all guests visiting the venue, be it for the hotel, the restaurant or our wedding and function centre. With 23 rooms you will be required to serve breakfast to hotel residents in the morning and deal with the checkout process. Afternoon shifts you will be checking customers in and dealing with room service orders and customer communications. Shifts are split between am or pm. Am shift is 6am - 2pm and pm shift is 2pm - 9pm. Five shifts per week on a flexible schedule over the seven days. Rotas are produced three weeks in advance. Excellent communication skills. Good understanding of IT processes, EPOS, PDQ and PMS.
