Ob Title: Peripatetic Clinical Lead & Commissioning Manager
Location: Covering nursing homes in Bromsgrove, Telford, Blackburn, Wigan, and new locations as required

Job Overview:
As the Peripatetic Clinical Lead & Commissioning Manager, you will provide critical support across existing nursing homes in Bromsgrove, Telford, Blackburn, and Wigan while also helping drive commissioning efforts for new homes as part of the company’s expansion. This role requires a dynamic leader who can ensure clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and smooth commissioning processes for each new facility. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, overseeing clinical staff development, and establishing new care homes in line with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clinical Leadership & Quality Assurance
* Provide clinical leadership to nursing homes, ensuring delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.
* Conduct routine audits and quality assessments to monitor standards and adherence to CQC requirements across existing and new homes.
* Identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based quality improvement initiatives across all locations.
* Commissioning of New Homes
* Drive commissioning activities for new nursing homes, working closely with stakeholders to establish smooth operations and high standards of care from day one.
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and initial training of staff for new homes, ensuring clinical and operational readiness.
* Collaborate with the senior leadership team on facility layout, regulatory approval processes, and initial resident admissions to ensure a successful launch.
* Occupancy & Resident Admission Management
* Support home managers in maintaining and optimizing occupancy levels in all homes, developing relationships with local authorities and health partners.
* Conduct assessments for potential residents and coordinate admissions to facilitate a seamless transition for new residents.
* Promote the homes to local healthcare providers and families, establishing the company as a provider of choice in each region.
* Compliance & Policy Implementation
* Maintain oversight of CQC compliance across existing homes and ensure new homes meet all regulatory standards at the time of commissioning.
* Update policies and practices in line with new guidelines and ensure that all team members are trained accordingly.
* Address any identified risks promptly and implement corrective measures to uphold high standards of safety and care.
* Team Development & Support
* Mentor and develop nursing and care teams, fostering a culture of professional growth and high morale.
* Identify training needs within teams and coordinate professional development programs to maintain and elevate care standards.
* Act as an accessible resource and clinical advisor for team members across all homes, both existing and newly established.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
* Proven experience in clinical leadership and commissioning within the private healthcare sector, preferably within nursing homes.
* In-depth knowledge of CQC standards, healthcare compliance, and commissioning best practices.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and support multi-disciplinary teams.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, especially with a focus on opening new facilities.
* Willingness to travel.
