IT Project Manager Southampton / Hybrid Salary - Up to £50,000 plus Benefits My client is a fast growing IT & Telecoms Managed Services Provider (MSP) and they now require a Project Manager due to additional client growth Main Tasks Manage projects from hardware upgrades to entire new build ICT and / or telecoms installations using Autotask CRM system and following PRINCE2 methodologies. Create, maintain, and update all project documents including but not limited to Project Initiation Documents, Scope of Works, Work Packages, Project Plans and Issue/Action Registers Experience in purchasing the hardware, software, from distribution as you will be order 60 items daily Work with account manager and service and delivery to identify, source and schedule appropriately skilled engineers, sub-contractors or 3rd party suppliers Work with the relevant Project Co-ordinator on all procurement following the company purchasing policy Co-ordinate, attend or hold project meetings at head office or at customer sites across the UK, from initiation to review, ensuring that the relevant parties are in attendance Motivate the on-site technical team through clear communication of targets and deliverable expectations Negotiate and communicate with suppliers and sub-contractors when required Work with the Accounts team to ensure that projects are forecast and invoiced at relevant stages in line with orders placed and any applications for payment dictated by contractors. Work with the sales team, ensuring that contract variations are quoted and cost in line with the company pricing policy and that they are not fulfilled without an appropriate variation on a purchase order from the customer. Complete full risk analysis to manage any potential risks and avoid any delays Produce the necessary risk assessments and method statements to ensure that that work on site is undertaken in line with the relevant Health and Safety Regulations and on-site procedures Produce regular update reports for submission and presentation internally and externally for all projects Ensure that Handover Certificates, test documentation and O&M manuals are signed off upon completion of all projects General The post holder will have IT and/or Telecoms project management experience including leadership, planning, coordinating and monitoring of concurrent projects and: The ability to multi-task (working on multiple projects at a time) The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines To work well individually and as part of a team To be able to create and administer project documentation to a methodology such as PRINCE2 Have sufficient technical skill to understand the telecoms and IT systems we install, the knowledge to propose options available when a problem arises, and to use those systems to gather information to inform decisions. The role holder is not expected to carry out engineering work.
