Job summary A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commissioning & Quality Assurance Team as a Data Quality and Data Entry Officer. This is an interesting and varied role which involves: Assisting end users regarding queries relating to the Trust Patient Administration system (Rio) including data entry into the system Completing data quality checks via the Trustwide dashboards and reports The input and theming of the Trustwide patient surveys 'Your Voice' Assigning a clinical diagnostic code to a patient record (ICD-10). Specific training will be provided to support you to undertake this task therefore previous experience is not a necessary requirement but a willingness to learn and undertake relevant identified training. Providing a support function for services to ensure patient demographic data is accurate via use of a national system. Main duties of the job To support the central Commissioning and Quality Assurance Team in meeting the Trusts overall data quality and clinical coding requirements. To carry out duties as delegated by the Commissioning and Quality Assurance Team Leader to ensure diagnostic coding is extracted and translated into the correct clinical coding terminology and entered into the patient record from identified source documentation available. To support clinicians with related clinical coding and data quality queries and provide specialist advice to clinicians. To provide support within the Commissioning and Quality Assurance Team to ensure data entry requirements are met. To provide support to Commissioning and Quality Assurance staff in training sessions on the importance of data and use of dashboards, to Trust staff of all levels. To monitor, identify and take sustainable action to address data quality issues, including identification of training need and provision of training to relevant service areas/teams. Assist in the development of internal training programmes focusing on identified data quality issues across the Trust. Data Quality issues can be identified through team feedback, attending team meetings, or from the information analysts team.
