The Opportunity Our fantastic rapidly growing client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join their commercially driven Accounts Payable team at their Head Office on the outskirts of Southall. Hours : 37 hours a week - Monday - Friday - Flexible - Hybrid Working model: 2 or 3 days a week in the office Primary Responsibilities: Supervise and manage the accounts payable team, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time. Create, implement, and uphold accounts payable policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance. Lead, train, and mentor accounts payable personnel, offering guidance and conducting performance reviews. Oversee and reconcile accounts payable transactions to guarantee accuracy and adherence to company policies. Foster strong vendor relationships and resolve any payment issues or disputes. Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure precise financial reporting and smooth month-end closing processes. Manage the accounts payable aging report and ensure vendors are paid promptly. Supervise vendor onboarding, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with company policies. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounts payable operations. Ensure adherence to tax regulations, company policies, and internal controls. Support audits by providing necessary documentation related to accounts payable. Qualifications & Requirements: Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or supervisory position. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices in accounts payable. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
