Job Overview
To be responsible for the supervision of Facilities Services staff at various sites ensuring that scheduled staffing levels are maintained to meet the needs of the service including cover arrangements for sickness and annual leave, allocating leave requests, etc. covering Housekeeping, Catering, Retail, Switchboard, Portering and Waste Services.
Main Duties of the Job
Working Monday to Friday including weekends on a rota basis, ensuring support and work allocation for Facilities Staff. Ensuring cleanliness standards are met, patient meals and food provisions are met, waste and hospital deliveries operate in a timely fashion, audits and inspections are completed, staff training is undertaken, equipment and vehicles are maintained to required standards.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
Responsibility for ensuring that accurate work is completed within time limits, framework and quality standards set scheduling ad-hoc requests as required.
To work closely with other staff to ensure a safe and pleasant environment is provided for patients, staff, and visitors.
To offer leadership, training, and supervision and support to staff.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances, the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
Minimum Requirements
* Ability to undertake all mandatory training as required by the individual site.
* Ability to undertake any necessary skills and competency training required by the post.
* NVQ/Apprenticeship Level 2 Cleaning and Support Service.
* I.L.M level 3 or N.E.B.S.S Certificate or equivalent supervisor qualification.
Experience
