Milton Keynes University Hospital is excited to announce that we have recently had a business case approved to expand our Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) cardiology and respiratory services. We are currently recruiting a number of roles, from Chief Physiologist to Driver, within the Medicine division and Estates department.
We are looking for an Electrician to join our on-site team. You will preferably have a background in commercial electrical support, ideally supporting plant such as AHUs, Chillers, electrical control systems, pumps, motors, etc. Previous NHS experience is not essential although it would be useful; full supplementary training will be provided.
You must be either near completion or have completed your IET Wiring Regulations qualification and be able to identify, understand and communicate electrical faults to staff, sometimes without supervision.

To perform electrical maintenance, repair, and installation work, including activities which are technically intricate and/or non-routine:
* Fire Alarm Weekly Testing
* Emergency Lighting Testing and Repairs
* Generator Testing
* Boiler Plant Treatment checks
* Passenger Lift Release
* Nurse Call Systems repairs and reset
* Air Handling Units – Electrical Fault Finding
* Sterilisation BS-EN 285 HTM 01-01 (2010) Training to become a CP

Main duties and responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair faults on electrical installations, plant, and equipment
* Manufacture, assemble and install new equipment as necessary
* Estimate the material requirements of a job, and advise accordingly
* Maintain and operate plant and associated equipment in accordance with current procedures
