About the Role:
As an Autism Teaching Assistant, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the educational journeys of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other special needs. This is your chance to help young learners thrive while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in special education.
Under the guidance of experienced teachers and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), you’ll support students’ growth, develop tailored strategies, and contribute to their success both academically and socially.
What You'll Do: Support Learning:
* Provide personalised assistance to students one-on-one or in small groups, encouraging their active participation and boosting confidence in classroom activities.
* Implement and adapt Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies to meet each student’s unique needs.
* Modify learning materials and deliver clear, engaging explanations to ensure students stay engaged and understand key concepts.
* Build trusting, positive relationships with students, inspiring them to explore, participate, and achieve their goals.
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other specialists, sharing insights to refine support strategies and monitor progress.
* Contribute to an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where every child feels valued, safe, and encouraged to thrive.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
